Shettima Arrives Switzerland for World Economic Forum

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Davos on Sunday to lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF), where he is scheduled to commission the inaugural “Nigeria House.”

The Vice President arrived from Conakry, Guinea, following his representation of President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of President Mamadi Doumbouya.

He was received in Switzerland by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

A key feature of this year’s participation is the launch of Nigeria House Davos, representing Nigeria’s first sovereign presence at the forum and is intended to serve as a hub for attracting foreign investment and showcasing the administration’s economic policies.

During the forum, which runs from January 19 to 23, Shettima will present Nigeria’s 2026 economic outlook. He is also slated to join high-level discussions on global challenges and hold bilateral meetings with international business leaders and policymakers to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The delegation includes several high-ranking government officials and heads of relevant diplomatic missions.
