NATA, RTEAN Endorse Bimbo Adekanmbi for Oyo 2027 Governorship

The Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) and the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in Oyo State have declared their support for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The two associations announced their position on Thursday at an endorsement event held at the NATA central meeting site in Ona Ara Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking at the event, the National President of NATA, Comrade Dele Odewale, described Adekanmbi as a familiar and trusted figure within the association, citing his longstanding relationship with its members and his understanding of the concerns of automobile technicians.

Odewale said the candidate’s record of engagement with the association was among the reasons members resolved to support his governorship ambition.

He said NATA was prepared to work for Adekanmbi’s success in the 2027 election.

The Oyo State Chairman of RTEAN, Alhaji Bashiru Owoiya, popularly known as Jagunlabi, also declared the association’s support for the APM candidate.

Owoiya said Adekanmbi’s commitment to the development of Oyo State, alongside the support which transport operators have received from the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, influenced the association’s decision.

Responding to the endorsement, Adekanmbi thanked NATA, RTEAN, market men and women, and traders who attended the event for the confidence placed in his candidacy.

He assured the groups that their concerns would receive attention if elected governor in 2027.

“I have been across Oyo State, meeting different artisan and trader associations, and I can confirm to you that all your concerns and expectations are well noted by me, and I’ll give them the needed attention as Governor of Oyo State in 2027,” he said.

Among those present were the National Secretary of NATA, Comrade Ajetunmobi; Assistant National Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Gbadegesin; Oyo State Chairman, Comrade Adigun Ismaila; and Oyo State Secretary, Comrade Adegoke Moruff.

The event also attracted several APM stakeholders, including the Ona Ara Local Government Chairman, Hon. Kolapo Temitope; Oluyole Local Government Chairman and House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Akeem Olatunji; APM Egbeda/Ona Ara representative candidate, Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji; Hon. Popoola Olaide Settle; Alhaji Bashiru Hamzat; Alfa Kehinde Adeyemo; and Hon. Kehinde Abore.
