The Abia State Police Command has arrested a woman, identified as Sarah Innocent, for allegedly stabbing her husband, Innocent Nwaoji, to death in Ohuru Isimiri Village, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
According to reports, the couple got married in December 2025.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the command, Mrs Maureen Chinaka, the suspect allegedly stabbed her husband in the chest with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
Mrs Chinaka said the corpse has been deposited in a morgue for autopsy, while the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has commenced investigation into the incident.
The police assured that further updates would be provided as investigations progress.
