Bruno Hits Double as Man Utd Blank Wolves 4–1, Send Home Team Spiralling

It was another rough night for Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) at Molineux as Manchester United came strong to deal them a heavy 4–1 beating.

From the off United looked the hungrier side. Bruno Fernandes slotted home the opener in the 25th minute, after a sloppy back pass from Wolves gifted United possession. Wolves, however, showed some fight, just before half-time Jean-Ricner Bellegarde smashed in a goal to calm the home crowd, ending a long goal drought for the club.

But after the break United turned on the heat. Bryan Mbeumo fired them back in front early in the second half, and a well-crafted move resulted in a classy finish by Mason Mount to put them 3–1 up. Then with minutes to spare, Fernandes calmly converted a penalty after a handball was spotted by VAR, sealing the win 4–1.

For Wolves too many errors, shoddy defending and missed chances have turned their season into a nightmare. This defeat marks their eighth straight loss in the league, anchoring them firmly at the bottom with just two points after 15 games.

As for United, the win lifts them to sixth place and gives them a much-needed boost, but it wasn’t just the result: the manner of the performance shows they still have fire in them under pressure.
