Algeria Beat DR Congo 1–0 After Extra Time to Reach AFCON Quarter-Finals
Algeria booked a place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after edging past DR Congo 1–0 following extra time in their Round of 16 meeting in Rabat.
The match ended goalless after 90 minutes, with both teams struggling to create scoring opportunities in a match characterized by organization and tactical defending. The breakthrough finally came in extra time when a goal by Adil Boulbina breached the Congolese defence.
